Heating up with coach Overstreet from Leksand

We asked coach Tyler Overstreet some questions...

Our preseason and games up to this point have been going well for the most part but have definitely had some rough parts trying to figure out our team still. So, it’s been interesting but we are 4-2 after 6 games in.

We have a couple new players. We have Daniel Linder, a transfer player from Stockholm who has fit in well in his time with us so far – a nice addition. Also, we have a new pitcher from Canada named Tyson Walker. He will definitely be a positive impact on the time through his play on the field as well as a great presence among the team. I myself am just coaching this year, dedicating myself only to coaching and organizing everything at all levels within the club.

The goal for the Swedish Elite Series is definitely nothing less than the SM Guld. It hasn’t been in Leksand in a long time and all of the players are working hard with that in mind. We are also playing the European Cup Qualifier in Croatia. That should be a great time and opportunity to play high quality teams in Europe as well as represent Swedish Baseball proudly. We played in the final last year in the same Euro Cup Qualifier tournament in Belgium, losing in the final that time. So we hope to win this time around.

Games starts at 13.00 in leksand, second game aproximatley 16.00
