Do you want to play american football?

The Göteborg Marvels U13 american football team has been coaching boys and girls between 10 and 13 years of age since 2006. Regardless of if you are big, small, fast, slow, fit or not, you can practice american football. You'll learn how to throw, catch, block and tackle in a safe way.

To make the first session less stressful, please fill out the player registration form an advance and bring it to the practice session. You find the form here. There is always an option to fill it out when you arrive.

Bring a water bottle and wear suitable clothes and football shoes/cleats if you own a pair, otherwise ordinary trainers will serve. We don't have showers or a locker room. Currently, all sessions are outdoor (turf).

You are expected to pay SEK 140 up front, preferrably with Swish if possible (otherwise in cash), on your first try out session. SEK 100 is the tryout fee which covers 6 sessions, SEK 40 is for a mouthguard (this is required - but if you already own one, you can bring that instead of buying a new one from us). When you have completed 6 training sessions you will have to pay the full membership fee if you wish to continue playing with the team. During the try out sessions, you may borrow equipment (helmet and shoulder pads) for free. Once you've decided to stay in the team after the try-out sessions, you can rent the same gear that you used during tryout..

Our training sessions are located at Kviberg, Mondays and Wednesdays.
We meet up att our storage room 15-30 minutes before the practice starts. Note! You cannot drive all the way to the storage building. Type "Kviberg 5 konstgräs" in the Google maps serch field to find the closest parking lot.

We practice outdoors all year. The first practices each year usually occurr in early February and we take Christmas break in early December. Helmets and shoulder pads are used between March and November, a bit depending on the weather.

Players turning fourteen the upcoming year will be transferred to Göteborg Marvels U15 after the last practice of the year.

One of the more popular recurring events is Skövde Dukes Tourney, which takes place in Skövde, usually the last weekend in July. This is the largest youth (american) football tournament in Sweden, where teams in U11, U13, U15 and U18 are welcome.
