Läste i TouringCar Times att BMKs Robin Rudholm siktar på fortsatt racingkarriär i STCC.
Robin Rudholm is hoping to join WestCoast Racing for the 2013 STCC alongside Richard Göransson and Fredrik Larsson.
“I have a dialogue with WestCoast Racing on being a part of their lineup in 2013,” said Rudholm.
The 33-year-old last raced for WestCoast Racing in 2009 when he finished third overall in the championship. He then moved to Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia for two years where he claimed a double title. Last year saw him racing for Flash Engineering with a Saab 9-3 in the TTA, only finishing 11th overall in the championship after a troublesome season.
“Unfortunately it became one of the seasons you just want to forget. There were many reasons why it went the way it did. But one thing is for sure. I have not become any worse as driver, but more picky facing a continuation within racing,” said Rudholm.
While Rudholm’s ambition is to join WestCoast Racing with the BMWs, the deal is not finalized yet.
“I spent some of my best seasons with WestCoast Racing in 2006 to 2009. But as said, it is a tough climate right now and we’ll see if we can pull it off,” said Rudholm.
WestCoast Racing ran four cars in the TTA last year for Göransson, Larsson, Martin Öhlin and Andreas Ebbesson. While Göransson and Larsson are set to continue for the team, Ebbesson announced his retirement from the championship earlier in 2012 and Öhlin is likely to step away from the championship as well.
