Silver at Intersport Cup!!!

After a long day in Nyköping we came home with the Silver Trophy! Our infield of: Henke 1B, Noah 2B, Trey SS, Mattias 3B, Hugo P and Daniel C had a great defensive tournament with many fine plays, they allowed only 1 run in 2 games. While Sebastain in CF made a couple of great plays and drove in a team high 8 runs during the tournament. Leo was not to be outdone driving in 5 runs and making some great plays at first base against Leksand. Otis and Hugo were stand out rookies through out the tournament hitting the ball well and scoring runs when they got on base. Trey went home with the Trophy. Great work team! 3 in a row and a tripple play to boot!

The miniHeat won again! We took a fine 17 - 10 victory over a big, but inexperienced City/Kungsängen team. See the match referat for a detail description. Daniel W & Noah were players of the game. Daniel was 3 for 3 with 3 runs scored and 2 RBIs, while Noah went 4 for 4 with 2 runs scored and 4 RBIs. Otis was the rookie of the game. He hit the ball hard and drove in 2 RBIs. Well done! Notes from Parents meeting

Thank you all for showing up. The following are the points discussed at the meeting. 1. Team ion for games. We have the luxury for the first time in years of having too many players! While this is great it causes 2 issues. The kids who have been playing for some time (we have 6 kids who have played for more than 2 years) expect us to field the strongest team possible. However this needs to be balance against our long term goal of developing all players for the Kadett, Junior and Senior teams. So we are going to continue to the 6 who have played for some time and the coaching staff will 4 to 6 more for each game based upon our estimate of their ability to protect themselves. (yes baseball can be dangerous) 2. We are working to get a series of games with Stockholm. They suggest we play T Ball. We plan on getting in at least 4 games prior to summer break. This will allow all the kids to play in a game that has no bearing on the series outcome. It will also give the kids who have been playing for a year or so to take more central roles. 3. We will register 2 teams to Billingslaget. Stockholm would also like to play a T Ball game during the Nackencup tournament in August. 4. We are planning a BBQ end of June. Parents versus Kids softball game will be the highlight! 5. We also agreed to post the player ion for the coming games. Any questions or comments please send one of the coaches an email. See matchreferat for a description of the game. The boys came from behind to take an exiting 10-8 victory over arch rival Stockholm! A very well played B pjok game by both teams. Trey was our MVP with a 3 for 3 hitting performance, 3 RBIs and 2 runs scored not to mention the defensive play of the game. Johannes again was Rookie of the game going 2 for 3 with 1 RBI and a key throw out at home in the 5th inning. See you at practice on Wednesday. All new players register with club

All, Its great to see all of you out at practice! If we keep this up we can add another team to the 08 Series. However we need to have everyone who would like to play games (and more than 3 weeks or so of practice) to register with the club Bli medlem. To become a member of Sundbyberg Heat Baseball it costs 700kr (Plusgiro: 86 66 66-1) you get a license from the Swedish Baseball Association which provides insurance coverage when going to and playing baseball, you also get a team hat and the great opportunity to play baseball! And when you have paid (or if you have already paid), send an email to sean.m.cory@gmail.com and we can make sure you get listed on the website as a player and ensure you get your hat!
