Cup Journey continues SIF Men!!

I'm proud to announce a very evenly played cup game with with enough drama to write our own tv series... the SIF Senior men move on into the semifinals of the Uplandscupen! With missed penalties and us going down to ten men, we then played out both halves of extra time with a man down and incredibly we became more focused, more driven and more proud to be in the blue of SIF as we played to survive until the penalty shootout. Our five chosen penalty takers plus our keeper stepped up to the challenge... we opened with a brilliant save from our excellent keeper Ludvig Bráthén who kept us strong in the whole game and then to push us to the semifinals, up stepped our captain Sherry Loan to calmly score the winner Semifinals will be at home next week, so we will update you all with the day and time and once again it would great to have your support Terry McLeod Head Coach http://www.marsta.nu/startsidan/sigtuna-vidare-efter-straffdrama/ Herrlaget 0kommentarer

SIF Herr Moving Forward in Uplandscupen 2020!

Its an honor to report despite the stop start 2020 season due to this worldwide virus pandemic, we were able to take a decent league position to give us a positive outlook for the oncoming 2021 season, but even better there's a new found end of the season energy running through our squad due to our latest amazing performance versus Div.2 Fanna BK in our last Upplandscupen match.... So now we will settle ourselves down, re focus and go again for our oncoming cup game where Sigtuna IF meets IF Riala at home, the match will be played on Wednesday 7/10 Kick off 19..... A New Beginning

Today we write the first few lines to our whole new story, a new beginning in our clubs Centurion Year. We all stand as adult male ambassodors ‘on & off the field of play’ that represent one cornerstone to the aspirations of our clubs future generations as they follow on from us. So Gents in the highs, lows, indifferent times we must always inspire them as we inspire ourselves to be proud of the badge we wear on our chests. This journey were on will never be easy, but with the belief we have shown so far in each other, the belief we now have found in ourselves will only strengthen each day we are together. We must go into each battle with heart, honesty, our true Spartan power, but at all times we must remain as ‘Gentlemen’ that has respect for each other, our opponents, the referees in charge and our club. So thank you Gentlemen, thank you to my management team with the trust and belief you have in me, I know at times it may not be easy, but I am proud to lead our new charge, our new journey into whatever the future holds.
