Gemensam träning U20/U17

Nu på Tisdag 7de januari börjar träningen för både U20 och U17. De äldsta och mest ambitiösa spelarna kommer spela U20 matcher. De yngsta och övriga spelar U17 matcher. På så sätt får alla möjlighet att spela match. Derek förklara mer på träningarna. Välkomna!

Hej, Derek vill informera alla spelarna om U20 träningar och matcher inför nästa säsong. Det är därför viktigt att alla U17 spelare och de som tänker spela nästa år i U20, deltar nu på tisdag den 10 dec. Välkommen!

Årets match mot HBBK!

Det såg ut att kunde vara en tuff match att vinna mot en mycket längre och duktigt lag i Helsingborg. Trots det ledde Höganäs i tre perioder och utklassade stundvis sina motståndare. Efter har lett med mer än 10 poäng i 3 perioder blev Höganäs trött och tappade lite i slutet av den tredje perioden. Helsingborg kom tillbaka och tog ledning i den fjärde perioden och såg ut att kunna vinna matchen. Efter en "time out" i sjunde minuten av den sista perioden kämpade Höganäs hårt för att hålla sig kvar i matchen. I allra sista sekunden, med bara 2 poängs skyllnad, kunde Murre nr 9 lura sin motståndare med en side step i Steff Curry anda, och slå in en trea från 2 m utanför tre-poängslinjen. Höganäs vann med en poäng. Helt magiskt och väl förtjänat vinst idag av både spelarna och coach.

Hej! Nu är det dags att dra igång basketsäsongen igen. För U17 är det spelare födda 2007-2009 som är huvudtruppen men även spelare födda 2006 kan vara med (då behöver vi söka dispens men det går hur bra som helst). Coach Derek och jag vill gärna träffa spelare och föräldrar på första träningen torsdagen den 17/8 kl.18:30 i Brukshallen. Hoppas ni kan komma. Mvh //Per

Ny coach för U17, Derek Godwin

Vi är mycket glada att en av våra gamla coacher gör comeback efter ett par år av frånvaro på grund av att han blivit förälder. Derek Godwin har tidigare vid olika tillfällen varit tränare för både U20 & U17 och varit väldigt populär bland våra spelare för sitt engagemang och kunnande. Vi tror att detta blir en väldigt bra lösning för U17. Mvh //Per

Föräldramöte 31/8

Hej! Jag hoppas ni alla haft en underbar sommar hittills. Nu är det snart dags att sätta igång säsongen. Vill börja med att välkomna alla nya spelare som kommer upp från U14. Jag tänkte börja med ett föräldramöte så vi kan gå igenom hur säsongen kommer se ut och så att alla nya föräldrar kan träffa mig också. Det är viktigt att alla spelare och föräldrar kommer så ni inte missar någon viktig info. När? Söndag 31 augusti Tid? Kl. 14:00 Vart? Kvickbadet (blir förhoppningsvis fint väder) Utöver det vill jag påminna om att vi är anmälda till kärnan cup i Helsingborg 19-21 augusti. Detta gäller främst spelare födda 2006-2007. Kan däremot vara aktuellt att några 08:or får vara med ifall vi inte får ihop tillräckligt många äldre. Spelare som redan anmält sig: Albin Bonn Leo Bruce Arvid Klein Dennis Harris Gustav Schnoor Man anmäler sig till mig. Vi kommer ha med 15 spelare totalt, det är först till kvarn. Spelprogram våren 2022

Hej på er alla,

nu är vi igång igen med storra ambitioner för vårens delsäsong!
Klubben har lyckats att hitta en tränare/coach som kommer att stöta vår U17-grupp.
Som vi nämnde tidigare hade vi planen att registrera 2 lag i serien "U17", och det gjorde vi!
- "A-laget" som heter Höganäs Basket P05 kommer att spela i nivå 3 och spelprogram hittar ni där: Spelprogram Höganäs Basket P05
Jag (Magalie) fortsätter träna och coacha laget.

- "B-laget" som heter Höganäs Basket P06 kommer att spela i nivå 5 och spelprogram hittar ni där: Spelprogram Höganäs Basket P06
Fatima kommer att coacha laget. Fatima är 20 år gammal, har spelat basket innan och har också erfarenhet som idrottsledare. Hon är också basketdomare så några av er har säkert sett henne när vi spelade i Brukshallen i höstas. Hon var med oss innan jullovet och var på plats igår på träningen och tog tid för 1vs1-möte för att lära sig känna killarna.

Derek fortsätter hjälpa till så mycket han kan på träningarna och eventuellt några matcher också.

Med detta vill klubben att alla spelare får mer chans att spela på rätt nivå och utveckla som mycket som möjligt.

Med nya tränare betyder det också att vi formodlingen behöver justera lite träningstiderna. Vi är inte klara ännu, och jag kommer att informera er när ändringarna är klara. Än så länge fortsätter vi som vanligt, jag ville bara förberedda er.
Jag kommer att läga till alla matcherna för både lag i kalendarn och sen kommer vi att skicka kallelser till er för att veta hur många spelare vi har redo för alla matcherna. Fatima och jag har börjat prata om vad vi vill för killarna, och vi kom översens att både lag är lika viktiga och ska vara så bra som möjligt vid varje tillfälle. Då kan det hända att några kommer att spela bara i A-laget, bara i B-laget, eller att flytta mellan lagen. Vi kommer att diskutera mycket hela tiden och göra vår bäst! Vi hoppas att ni ser fördelen för alla i truppen :)

Christmas break

Yesterday was our last "formal" training for 2021 because I cannot join tomorrow.
But Zak has my key (big big responsibility here :wink:) if some of you want to play/train.

Thank you very much to all of you for this term, we all have improve in many ways and I am grateful to be your coach. Thank you to Derek for his help!
Enjoy your break, keep playing and be active, and be ready to start 2022 with hard work!

Referat: KFUM Ystad PU17 - Höganäs P05

Return game against Ystad. The first home-game went well for us last weekend with a win (78-41). We arrive confident, and we know what to expect from this team. Ystad managed to take a lot of rebounds from us during the first game, so we focused on boxing-out during the practices and it is now time to apply it "real-life". We could see directly that Ystad had put some work during the week between the two games to adapt there defense to our game. We start the game well, 11-15 at the end of the 1st period. The second period is, as usual for us, the toughest one. This time, it is difficult for both team with only 6 points on each side (17-21). The second half is really ours. It is a pleasure for the eyes to watch you play! Great combinations, great communication on the court and great energy fom everyone. What we worked for since september is falling in place. We are hungry, we fight for the ball, we talk less to the refs and simply keep it as simple as basketball can be. Cherry on the top of the cake: Noah's dunk! 10-22 in 3rd period, 5-18 in the last period. Final score 32-61. A very good game from everyone, very very well done Team Höganäs! I would like to name Åke who is making an amazing match today (18pts, free throws and plenty of rebounds)!

Referat: Höganäs P05 - KFUM C4 Kings 0506

A tough game against Kristianstad who is leading the serie with 9 wins in 9 games! When we played them in Spetember, it was our first game as a team and we suffered a heavy loss. But we were determined today to show them and our public all the progress we've made since the beginning of the season. Starting the game really strong, with up to 10 points difference in our favour (10-0), we manage to "surprise" Kristianstad. If they were expecting a simple game, they realised that we will give them a fight as good as we can. Loosing our tempo, Kristianstad comes back and takes the lead: 11-20 at the end of the first period. The second period is rather dramatic for us... We don't manage to score, we stand extremely still and our pases are too easily read by Kristianstad who can still the ball from us and score. Our defense is not in place and this results in a score of 4-25 for the second period (15-45). Motivation talk during half-time: we have to wake up! We have a new objective: let's not loose by more than 20 points. We are more confident, we dare to attack the basket, we move the ball around and don't get stucked in dribbles and such, which creates opportunities for us. By driving in, Viggo draws a lot of fouls on him, placing him on the free-throw line, and locking Kristianstad's defense. Very well done! We win the 3rd period 15-13 (30-58). We continue to play our game in period 4. Three 3-points shots (Noah N (2) and Viggo (1)) help us take the lead in this period too: 16-15. Final score: 46-73 Kristianstad is a really good team that deserves to play 1 or 2 divisions up next term. We wish them good luck for the remaining games. We demonstrated great spirit, to not give up and keep fighting as a team in the second half. A game is never over, even if we are loosing. Good job guys!!

Ville Tuominen visits Höganäs Basket

On Thursday 02/12 17:30, Ville Tuominen will come to Höganäs U17 practice.
Ville is the head coach of the basketball project at Filbornaskolan NIU Basket in Helsingborg. He will come to our practice to show and tell us more about what they do at the school and why.

Referat: IK Eos P07 Vit - Höganäs P05

28-22 at half time was a score we could have turned. But our 3rd period is quite bad, 15-3 for Eos. And despite a decent 4th period (16-12), we cannot make a comeback. We are lacking energy and will-to-win. I have a hard time get a response from the players and from the bench. We need to work on our mental game, as we cannot and should not give up so easily. The frustration of some moments or actions or reactions is taking over and we cannot move to the next actions. We are good, we can play well and show it with some beautiful actions and teamwork. We could have done better today against Eos, sure, but we cannot change the result. Now, we look forward to next game. Now, we start preparing ourselves to be more hungry. Now, we start preparing ourselves to give everything we have. Now, we start preparing ourselves to fight for a victory.

Referat: Lobas PU5 - Höganäs P05

First victory of the season! Well done guys! A good spirit on the court and from the bench really lifted up the team. We are in a slow tempo to start the game but manage to change that and to create some movement on the court sometimes. Generally to static, we are not always offering solutions to each other, but when we do, it is working! Even if the help in defense is not always in place, a good combativity makes us wins some rebounds and we steal some balls. Score at half-time: 21-27

Referat: Höganäs P05 - Malbas PU7

After 3 weeks without games, it was time for a revenge against Malbas. Loosing by 2 points in Malmö was not a pleasant result, we want to be better this time. A great energy to start the game, we manage to keep up with Malbas and finish the 1st period at 15-15. The second period is more difficult for us. We are more passive to the game and are not giving each other solutions to play our game. Malbas takes the lead and wins the period 9-16. Score at half-time: 24-31. The 3rd period shows unfortunately that we are lacking some consistency. While we are capable of great moves and teamplay, we are giving away too many balls: passes in one's feet, balls directly to the hand of Malbas, bad passes, we get sanctionned right away. Malbas wins this period too, 9-15 (33-46). A better 4th period were we finish at 8-8 brings a positive note, but is unsufficient. FInal score 45-54. We are missing too many easy shots or lay-ups and are too easily distracted. Our focus isn't consistent throughout an entire game and we get frustrated easily, which impacts tóur game. We also saw today that we need to go through our systems again to make sure everyone knows all the positions and feel comfortable applying it on the court. One positive thing is that the game plan of playing full-court defense worked (when everyone remembered...) better than expected. When we are in the game, we are in the game and can still many balls. With an even better cardio, we will be able to keep that high tempo for an entire game hopefully soon! Back to practice, focus on what we can improve for the next games bext weeks! /Magalie

Referat: Malbas PU7 - Höganäs P05

A strong start for Höganäs. We are present in defense and manage to find each other very well in offense. By the end of the 1st epriod, we are leading 6-12. The 2nd is a bit tougher for us. We are not keeping up with the high tempo as we did until now and Malbas comes back, 17-19 at half time. The 3rd period is our best period (12-18) and Noah N is making a big difference on the court with 14pts, including two 3-points in a row! We are having a decent lead when starting the last period, 29-37. This 4th period is really own by Malbas, we are slightly late in defense and are not moving our feet quick enough, which makes us get some faults that got directly sanctioned by Malbas' stable free throws. Malbas manage to take the lead with roughly 1min left of the game and we are not able to compensate. Final score 44-42 (4x7min game) I am, at the same time, happy with the game and frustrated by the result. We had them but couldn't manage to keep the lead until the end of the game. Something to work on, both you AND me to make better decision next game. We could see a huge difference compared to our first game: you play as a team, you kept your focus on the game and you cheered for each other and keep the mood up. First game of the season for Ossian and Dennis, you did very well guys!. Great words from Noah N at the end of the game too. We keep our heads up, and next time, we go for the win!
