Baseboll på Lilla sporten

Ikväll sänder barnkanalen säsongens första "lilla sportspegeln", den kommer att handla om Baseboll. Vad vi förstår kommer tre landslagsmän att vara där plus bilder från turneringen i Skövde. Practice Game cancelled - Practice at Duvbo

Läktarbygge inför VM

Sent omsider har vi fått information angående läktarbygget i helgen som jag hoppas flertalet av er redan känner till. Vi vill ha svar senast imorgon, torsdag kl 19.00. Vi hoppas naturligtvis att så många som möjligt kan komma. Hör av er till mig eller Petter Följande gäller: På lördag skall vi vara på plats kl. 08.00 och beräknar hålla på ca 12 tim eller så länge ni har möjlighet att stanna. Söndagen börjar vi också kl 08.00 och håller på så länge det behövs. Kanske till 17.00. Troligen kortare eftersom vi fått lite bygghjälp under fredagen. Och jag tror att man redan på lördagen kan bedöma tiden för söndagen. Det är lämpligt att medarbetarna har handskar att tillgå. Några raster planeras naturligtvis och läktarleverantören kan utlova förtäring på McDonald’s. Det är sex läktarsektioner som ska byggas. Ställningen till de två högsta sektionerna kommer att byggas under fredagen av läktarleverantören som heter Sit Down. De ställningarna och allt material kommer således att vara på plats lördag morgon. Arbetet kommer att ledas av en monteringsledare från Sit Down. /Leif U12 0kommentarer

Baseball World Championships

Team, As hopefully you all know Sundbyberg is hosting pool play for the Baseball World Championships the first game is Wednesday September 9th and will be every day until Sunday the 13th. We will need a number of parents and children to help out during the tournament. We will begin to send out information with requests for everything from building the grandstands to leading the teams on to the field to helping out at different booths during the festivities. So please mark those days to see some high quality baseball and pitch in for the club. So not only do we get a new field, but a chance to fill our Youth Baseball bank account. Sundbyberg - Best B-Pjok Team in Sweden

WOW! After a great day of baseball in Skövde, our Sundbyberg team can call itselft the best B-Pjok team in Sweden. It all started yesterday (Saturday) against Stockholm in the 4th inning when Daniel Lagos ripped a single into left center field followed by 7 straight hits to score 7 runs. First time all year 8 of 9 batters hit safely in one inning. We erased a 5 run deficit and and made it into the Semis. In the first game against Stoeryd we jumped out to a big 5 run lead powered by a 3 run home run by Cornelius in the first inning only to have Stoeryd battle back to a 7-7 after 4 innings. We scored 1 in the 5th and held Stoeryd scoreless the next to innings to take a heart stopping 8-7 win. Next up Leksand. Probably the best played B-Pjök game of the year. We scored our first run on a single by Henke and a series of errors which allowed him to circle the bases. In the second inning no score. In the 3rd inning Noah singled, was moved over by Vincent on a single and scored on a fielders choice by Julia. In the 4th inning, Leksand scored on a home run. In bottom of the inning we scored our 3rd run Daniel Lagos singled was moved over on a sacrafice by Leo and Trey and scored on a single by Mattias. Leksand scored 1 more run in the top of the 6th inning, but the game ended on a pop fly to Cornelius. 3-2 win in the final! Our mixed team with Skövde was a tough chore for the Sundbyberg players as they had 5 from Skövde who had never played a game of baseball. Edvin, Jordan, Sebastian and Daniel played well and had a great attitude through out the tournement. Job well done! The team would like to thank Christina and Leif for the organization and our faithful for coming to see it happen in Skövde! No practice tomorrow Monday.
