Woop woop! The C in CIS now stands for Champions after a well-earned first place finish at JUSA:s (Jönköping University) recent volleyball tournament. Five universities were involved with a total of 8 competing teams but Chalmers only needed one team to take it all! Many thanks and congratulations to the players sacrificing their knees and shoulders for our gain! Rumour has it the only way to become that good at volleyball is through CIS Volleyboll trainings with our handsome and nice (slightly biased) coaches so sign up now! // the cheerfully cute coaches

Last set of sessions before winter break!

Ho ho ho! The holidays are creeping closer and so are the last of our training sessions this year. The upcoming Friday and Saturday (19-20th) marks the end but we will resume after the exam weeks finished in January. A lot of you are leaving Gothenburg during Christmas so we will be sending out summons early to be able to gauge how many people are interested and available. If numbers are too low we might cancel a particular session but hopefully we can spike our hearts out at beginner, intermediate and advanced! Trainings canceled, 21/22 nov

Greetings to all of our lovely members!

Unfortunately, due to event booking, we have to cancel this week's trainings. Generally we try to work around scheduling conflicts like these by booking another hall but this time it caught us by surprise. Going forward we have replaced our human eyes with elven eyes so that we never miss out again!

CIS Volleyball - Read me!!!

Hello!

Welcome to the webpage for CIS Volleyball. Below is some basic information about the club and our sessions. If you have any specific questions, feel free to message us through email at volleyboll@cis-chalmers.se (please note the swedish spelling of "volleyboll" in the email adress)!

CIS Volleyball was founded in 2017 with the goal of creating opportunities for Chalmers students to meet and play volleyball together. Whether you’ve played volleyball before or are just curious to try the sport, you are warmly welcome!

We have three training sessions per week for players at different skill levels. We play in the gym at Chalmers Student Union building.

On Saturdays, we hold two sessions:
Beginners at 10:00 - 11:30, for whoever wishes to try volleyball out, or just play for fun!
Intermediate at 11.30 - 13:00, for players familiar with the game and want to learn more about positional play (5-1 rotation).

We also have a session on Fridays,
Advanced at 20:15 - 22:15, for those who have played a lot of volleyball and are comfortable with the rotations.

Each session includes a warm-up and sometimes technical drills, followed by match play in mixed teams.

NOTE: To participate in the Advanced training session, you must first get approval from one of the coaches before signing up. This ensures that the level of play remains suitable for everyone attending. If you’re interested in joining the advanced session, the easiest way is to ask a coach after another training session, but you can also send us a message on whatsapp or by email. If you haven’t played with us before, please include a short description of your volleyball experience and mention if you’ve played in any divisions.

To make sure we don’t become too many at each session, participants need to register to the sessions to be able to participate. When you're a member you'll be able to sign up through this webpage.

If you’re not yet a CIS member, you’re welcome to try three times before deciding!
