Västerås Basket Set to Benefit from the ‘Carlsson Sisters’
When Västerås signed sisters Kajsa and Lisa Carlsson early in the off season, there was a collective nod within the club..
Yup, it made sense, as the Carlsson sisters will help both on the court as well as provide depth to the team.
On the court, both sisters have experience in Damligan, the top Women’s League in Sweden. Kajsa has averaged as much as 20 minutes and 5.1 points and 4.1 rebounds in a season, and Lisa in her lone season averaged close to 20 minutes a game as well..And in Division 1, with Västerås Basket, Kajsa has had a solid run, with highs of 14.4 points, 6.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 2.5 steals, and 0.7 blocks even(!) as season averages in her 3 seasons with VB. And Lisa has been solid as well, averaging 7.4 points and 4.5 rebounds to go along with her smart play in her one season in 2014 with Västerås.
Kajsa, with her ability to score and defend, and Lisa with her ability to defend and her potential to be a ‘key cog’ for this group should really be welcome help to key player Amelie Nilsson and crew!
