• Referat: Syrianska/Arameiska Föreningen Göteborg - Landa...

Leading 0-2 in an away game, in a particularly hostile atmosphere, is a sign strenght and personality. Achieving such a favorable score in only 45 minutes, through a first half of well played football indicates a good mix of organisation, winning mentality and undeniable quality. If all of these is the prelude to a sudden blackout which leads to an unexpected (and somewhat unfair) 2-2, is a sign of weakness and some questions must be raised. This what happened Sunday afternoon in a sunny Gamlestadsvallen, where the oranges have given away a well earned lead against Syrianska/Arameiska and left the pitch with a bittersweet, single point. The first 45 minutes have seen Landala taking full advantage of their organisational skills and expressing well played, coral football. No significant danger was seen back where captain Per and Aidan (mvp of the game) operated to protected Andreas, who made his seasonal debut. The away side had in a solid midfield their best strength, proficiently coordinated by the duo Patrik-Simon and assisted by the good work on the wings. Is from there that two calibrated long passes have delivered to Per and Jack the chances to take Landala at rest with a well earned 2-2. With visible satisfaction the orange The second half kicked off with increansing nervosity in a way that animosity had the best of the referee too, busy on booking duty at multiple times but still responsible of a whole bunch of bad decisions between non awarded penalties and missed yellow cards. What seemed to be a happy afternoon for Landala pretty quickly turns into a nightmare: Syrianska/Arameiska reduces the gap as effect of a rapid counter attack and turns off the light for Landala, that from then onwards is incapable of developing an effective passes web and lowers the offensive danger rate to a minimum, with only a couple of occasional threats brought to the black-white keeper. For the inevitable to happen, is just a matter of minutes. The home side's number 100 (certain aesthetic choices are as interesting as purely weird!) takes charge of a corner-kick and instead of delivering a cross towards a teammate ends up placing the sphere just above Landala goalie's range of action and meets the net in the top-right corner. The rest of the game could be summarised by mentioning David's injury and a list of free kicks, wrong passes and further bookings (a red card too) which leave the oranges with not enough time nor energies to come back on the lead. The final whistle is welcomed by the home side as a liberation and an achievement, while Landala has to face a missed chance to take 3 golden points, which would have meant a lot in the club's race towards the mid-table safe haven that is the seasonal target. The first half undoubtly consitutes a solid starting point to prepare the following couple games, which will prove to be surely more challenging in terms of solidity, team spirit and most importantly mental strength. The weekly focus will certainly need to be moved towards the ball posession and team tightness in the longer run of the 90 minutes, but the brilliant football delivered in the first half on Sunday afternoon in Gamlestan must give Landala the self-awareness and confidence that a team has to own to be able to complete the objective of the season. • Referat: Landala IF - Slottsskogen/Godhem IF

Matchen slutade 3-0. Forza Landala! //Fabbe F A-lag 25 aug 2016 0kommentarer
