  • Blentarpscupen 2014 - report

    The Blentarps Cup provided an opportunity for the BBK Ladies team to experience a competitive tournament for the first time in 2014, as a ‘new’ team prepares for the forthcoming DA Div.4 Sydöstra. Overall, the team should feel very proud of its performance, getting through to the ‘knockout’ / slutspel round of the cup and then finishing second in the slutspel group – one place off from a semi-final place! Realistically this was a good achievement for a team of players that have only recently started training together over the last 3-4 weeks. A positive observation from the team’s performance was we competed with the other teams and despite some of the score lines many of the games were very close. A great example of this was the fight we showed in the game vs. Skurup 2, where we came from 0-3 to 2-3, and may even have scored again if we had more time! This fighting spirit was also shown in the 1-0 win vs. Sjöbo 2. After a poor performance vs. Husie (0-5) and strong team talk, the girls came out fighting! Always nice to win a local derby :-) The team are in good shape for the Euro City Cup on Sunday 26th January in Höganäs. Naturally, there are a few things we need to improve, but overall our fitness looks good and we have good foundation to move forward. Damerna 13 jan 2014 0kommentarer
