Vinst mot Stockholm Meanmachines

Den sista matchen i grundserien spelades mot Stockholm Meanmachines på Zinken under söndagen. Slutresultatet skrevs till 0-42. Med 2 minuter kvar av första halvan så gjorde Black Knights 0-35 och mercyrule inträdde dvs att tiden började rulla. Matchen innebär att Black Knights vann 7 matcher och förlorade tre. Uppsala hade också 7-3 men kom trea pga inbördes möte. Preview: Last game before the playoffs.

On Sunday we will play our last game before the playoffs. Coach Randy's thoughts. What's your view on the upcoming game? This week we are focused upon solid preparation and playing good football as a team, together on Sunday. We are focusing upon refining what we do on offense, defense, and special teams and making each aspect of our team better so that we bring our regular season to a successful conclusion against the Mean Machines on Sunday. Once we get onto the bus after the game, we will begin playoff preparations, but not a minute before then. Our attention is now fully, front and center, upon Stockholm and doing what we need to do to defeat them. What's your view on Stockholm Mean Machines ? I believe Stockholm is playing its best football right now. Their results over the past two weeks confirm this. Last week, they scored 12 points on one of the top teams in our league, so we know they are capable of finding the endzone. This is a threat to our defense, so we must mitigate whatever they are doing, as well as whatever they are capable of doing, whilst their offense attempts to move the football down-field. Offensively, we will set out to dominate the game, as we have done to win games this season. I must add that this team should garner the respect it deserves, regardless of Sunday's outcome. It takes a special group of players to stay together and play hard during a losing season. It takes a lot of character and toughness in a good football player to line-up and play hard despite the fact that your team has lost all of its games, going into the final week of the regular season. Those players who do play well and play hard have our respect and admiration, going into this game. Many teams within this league are stocked with quitters - players who give up when competition gets harder than they can contend with, players who crumble in the face of pressure, or beneath the weight of a terrible loss. It takes players of strong character and toughness to stand strong and proud, despite what the record or statistics show. I commend those players on that team for this. Having paid the respects, the Black Knights will show up in Stockholm on Sunday and do everything in our power to absolutely dominate, crush, and obliterate the Mean Machine . We do not care what their record is or who is on the field. This is an opportunity for our team to complete our season successfully and we intend to take it. Injuries in our team? We have a few players who suffered injuries and may not make the trip to Stockholm with us. We will have a much clearer picture of our roster, going into our final practice later in the week. Vinst 28-13 mot STU

Inför storpublik på Behrn Arena så vann vi den viktiga matchen mot STU Northside Bulls med 28-13 efter ledning i paus med 14-7. Slutspelsplatsen är klar och i matchen mellan Kristianstad och Uppssla avgörs om Uppsala kommer trea och får mö´ta Carlstad Crusaders eller fyra och får möta Tyresö.
