• Preview: Championship Game

It's time for the Championship Game. We are here. After an amazing game last week beating Tyreso Royal crowns 28-25 we are now facing Carlstad Crusaders at the Super Bowl in Uppsala coming Sunday. Every game is a new game and a new opportunity to do something that you have never done before, as we show at our last game. It's an opportunity to grow and to reach you goal. A opportunity to write history and be a champion. And we will. As we did last week. Thoughts from Coach Randy You have been here before facing a championship game, both as a coach and as a player. What are you thoughts and feelings right now? As a coach and player with championship experience - winning championship exprrience (there is a difference) - the goal is not the game itself. The goal is focused upon winning plays and finding ways to beat the player lined-up across the line from you. You do it not just when it counts, but in a manner that leaves no question as to your own ability to dominate your opponent. When 11 players are able to do this and count upon one another to do it, those 11 players win that play. They do it enough times in any game, with maximum effort across all 4 quarters, together, they will win that game. As a coach, one can not coach desire. We will do everything we can to ensure that technically, players have the tools and means to be successful once they step onto the field and buckle their chinstraps. However, the desire and the will to win against your opponent comes from the heart and mind of a player. It comes from the love of this game - the greatest game on earth - American Football. And it comes from the respect he has for his own teammates and his desire to take care of his teammates by being reliable and completing his task successfully by dominating his opponent. When he does this, his team can win that play. When he does this over and over and over again, his team dominates the game and there is no question about the game's outcome. When our 11 players focus on winning their plays across all 4 quarters, each time they participate, they never have to try and focus upon winning. It will come naturally. We want our opponents to worry about how to win the game while we focus our attention upon doing whatever it takes to win our play, one play at a time, until the officials pull us off of our opponents and end the game. As a player, championship games are no different than any other game played and this is the key to winning that game. Good players have a persistent drive to improve their performance - to improve their ability to play well. Weather the game is being played in-front of 90,000 screaming fans throwing oranges at you when you come out of that tunnel at the start of the game, or if its played in-front of an infinite amount of crickets in and empty field around you. The game and what you must do as a player does not change. Histories and stats do not matter either. No team has ever won a game because they showed up onto the field and played their highlight films, then left the game with a victory. One of greatest attributes of this game is the fact that on any given day, at any given time, one team - the team that has desire - can beat another team, regardless of stats, records, and histories. As a player, every game is a chance to prove you are the best at what you do. Winning a championship is a by-product of your will and desire to be the best player you can be for the final game being played in the 2015 season. What's our thoughts on Carlstad and the Championship Game? Carlstad has been a consistent team. They play the game well and we adnire this. Our last meeting demonstrated their ability to make great plays. The Black Knights were a different team then. We are a determined team, a team that playes well together. We are looking forward to this rematch. What's the status with team. We are well prepared and very very exited! This will be a great game and an experience to remember Probable starters: Offense WR - Johan Stål WR - Joey Cafferky jr TE - Jakob Grufman QB – Grant Welp FB – Cesar Hebel HB – Veikka Lehtonen C – Sebastian Nilsson RG – Eric Karlsson RT – Lucas Lavin LG – Dusan Radojevic LT – Erik Törnblom Defense CB - Johan Stål CB - Alexander Sundström SS – Johan Lindahl FS – Filip Berglund LB – Eric Murphy LB – Josh Murphy LB – Mike Kagafas DE – Milos Lisanin DT – Kevin Mellberg DT – Max Gunnarsson DE – Aleksi Nyström Elit-lag Herr 2 sep 2015 0kommentarer
